Mark Johnson
Most people see government as an obstacle. Mark sees a system of mechanisms that have tangible and intangible levers, official and unofficial channels. He founded Pathway Public Solutions to translate those mechanisms into strategy that high-potential organizations can actually execute.
His career has been defined by that translation: supporting $35M in government contract capacity since FY24, designing an AI workflow that delivered a 500% productivity gain, and building public economic development BRE outreach models that moved cold-call conversion from 4% to 50% .
The PPS Approach
Mark's background is in the mechanics of governance. He served inside the Washington State Senate and House of Representatives administering committees and supporting elected officials of both parties, delivered economic development programs at the municipal level, and learned government from the inside before advising businesses on how to engage with government markets at all levels, local state, and federal. That combination gives him a nonpartisan institutional fluency that's uncommon in this field.
